Original Piaggio crankshaft modified for membrane. Ideally suited for engines, e.g., with Malossi 166 or Polini 177.
The shape of the flowed crankshaft allows for aerodynamically efficient intake of large amounts of fuel into the combustion chamber, where the cheeks of a rotary valve crankshaft would obstruct the passage.
