Adjustment Options
The shock absorber features 3-way adjustable spring preload, allowing the suspension to be tuned for different road conditions.
Low Spring Preload
Setting the preload to the lowest level makes the shock absorber most sensitive to road irregularities. It effectively absorbs small to large bumps throughout the entire suspension travel.
High Spring Preload
Increasing the preload is beneficial for heavier loads, sporty riding, or when carrying a passenger.
In such cases, raising the preload adapts the shock absorber's response to the available suspension travel.
Setting preload too low can cause excessive sag, especially with a passenger, wasting available suspension travel.
Setting preload too high results in a less sensitive shock absorber, causing unwanted bouncing.
