The shape of the flowed crankshaft allows for aerodynamically efficient intake of large amounts of fuel into the combustion chamber, where the cheeks of a rotary valve crankshaft would obstruct the passage.
Ideally suited for engines, e.g., with 166 or 177 cc displacement.
