We recommend soaking the clutch linings in SAE-30 Vespa gearbox oil for several hours. This protects the clutch linings from heat and burning during the first few meters of operation, which can occur with dry running, until a sufficient amount of gearbox oil has been transported from the gearbox to the clutch.
