The 3-disc clutch is sufficient for all original and lightly tuned engines. Additionally, the adjustment with 3 discs is easier, ensuring the clutch always separates cleanly without slipping. For tuned engines, the use of a 4-disc clutch is advisable.
We recommend soaking the clutch linings in gearbox oil for several hours. This protects the clutch linings from heat and burning during the first few meters of operation, which can occur with dry running, until a sufficient amount of gearbox oil has been transported from the gearbox to the clutch.
